Gunnar is a rescue who loves to lay down in thick, green grass and bathe in the sun! His favorite meals are when Grandmom picks crabs or peels shrimp for him. Gunnar enjoys hanging with family and friends and being in the action, that is, if he's not taking a nap!

Lillian enjoys drinking water out of the faucet and also from everyone else's cups. Her favorite treats are pumpkin and freeze dried salmon. In her spare time, you can find Lillian chasing flies, napping on fluffy blankets, or inside the newest cardboard box. She loves to go for walks in the yard and watch the birds.

Lillian was found at 3 weeks old, abandoned in a pile of trash. Her body was itty bitty, but her personality was huge!

Gracie was rescued from the foster pet system and she was extremely anxious when she got to her new home. With a lot of patience and love, Gracie continues to become more relaxed in her surroundings and able to enjoy life. Gracie loves long walks and juicy, seedless watermelon. No matter how big the bed is, Gracie enjoys stretching out and will easily take up all of it.

Turn A Leaf Publishing is a mother-daughter children’s book publishing company born in 2023 out of a passion for helping children find freedom in navigating their inner world while experiencing the companionship of an animal counterpart.
Claudia is a Certified Equine-Assisted Coach specializing in horse-powered reading and math, mindful movements, and trauma-informed equine assisted services.
Melissa, is a lifelong songwriter and musician who found freedom through yoga, and her purpose in crafting stories for children that inspire them to walk in their own authentic selves.
